MORE ABOUT ME
I began training in martial arts in 2014 after discovering that my parents held brown belts in Taekwondo. Although it was initially intimidating to enter the gym as a new student, I quickly found support from the Wilkes instructors and fellow students. From reciting the nine tenets after each class to learning practical self-defence techniques, my training at Wilkes Martial Arts helped build confidence and taught me valuable life skills.
Martial arts has remained a consistent part of my life throughout primary school, high school, university, and full-time work.
In 2024, exactly 10 years later, I earned my Senior Black Belt. Since then, I’ve expanded my training to include Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Eskrima, and Historical European Martial Arts (Longswords and weaponry).
Towards the end of 2024, I decided to pursue my goal of joining the Wilkes Martial Arts instructor team. Despite my full-time career, I find deep fulfilment in teaching and helping students grasp the practical applications of martial arts. I’m committed to passing on the knowledge and skills I’ve gained over the years.
